The night we become, The night we think, it’s the night.

What comes to your mind when you hear the word “night”?

Are you a night person or a day person?

Would you prefer to study or work at night or when the sun is up?

For me, I love both, can do both, and am amazed by both. But, for night…

It is just in a special place in my heart…

Things I love about night…

  1. Where I am not afraid to look back

I always believe that the best reflection is when you are daring enough to look back on your past self. The best celebration for your whole journey is also when you are able to look at your back and feel proud about it, like, “Ah, I have been through a lot in the past till I became who I am today”

Life is like the image above; we always start with a plan A where everything should go right. Then we failed, comes with a plan b that feels a bit different from plan A but can also truly be different and more complicated than plan A.

Everybody had at least one loss and failure in their life. That is how our life has been beautifully prepared. Life, the path, and the future have prepared themselves; are we prepared for that?

For those who are afraid to look back, I hope you can try to forgive what you or others have done in the past and try to look at it as a part of your life that making the best version of yourself today.

2. Overthink → Solution Maker

Who’s in this room is the person who always has overthinking sessions like 3 seconds before you fall into your deep sleep?

Me!

Yes, I do that as well. But I feel like it can be something that we can beautifully turn into the best experience that we can do at night. What you need to do is very simple. Do not overthink the same “ifs” over and over again. If you are afraid, you can just create another ifs or a thousand ifs until it becomes a good ifs. Then, do not just think. Create the flow of thinking you want yourself to achieve by having those thoughts, Ideas will always remain an idea forever if you don’t find the prototype to achieve them. How can you find it? Use your imagination! It might be creating another overthinking topic, but one thing is for sure, just enjoy it.

For those who always think, “ Argh, I overthink again! *while covering your face with a pillow” start to think, “well, let’s do this. Let’s see how far and deep I can get down to my whole life.” Cuz for me, it kinda seems like a self-development session :p

3. Chamomile Times

It’s tea time, but make it Chamomile…

Why, tea has always become something that sounds like gossip. But we have so many variants of tea in this world. We have peppermint, lemongrass, ginseng, also chamomile. My favorite one. 😆

The flower itself carries the symbolic meaning of rest, peace, poise, and calmness. The flower is also a sign of renewal and rebirth in many cultures due to its ability to bloom for long periods and resist wear from foot traffic.

The reason why I called it Chamomile time is because I want you to discuss the tea you have today that you haven’t shared with anyone or you plan to do tomorrow. With Chamomile, try to dig into it in a respectful way.

Start by asking yourself why did he/she/they do that? Maybe it can create many possibilities that make you relate to their actions. Maybe their actions are unforgiven, and it is hard to be accepted by people’s standards, but they are also a human like you who make mistakes sometimes, so what if they did that for a reason that they can’t share?

Maybe after you do that, the next day, you won’t be that person who negatively shares other people's bad sides and will just focus on neutrality 💙

4. Developing my contemplator personality

This is the most fun and the funniest part of any activities I do at night.

The way I complete everything about life is mostly done before I sleep, and I enjoy doing that. Sometimes I think and dig into why the world has a surface, why do stars blinking, why we call a pen a pen, and many other things, haha.

I get used to feeling like I am a bedroom-philosopher who has a very complicated mind about little things we have in this world before going to bed. I bet it is not only me who has that habit. Hopefully, you guys do it as well. Because it is fun!

5. Last but not least, No UV 🫶

As the number one hater of UV, I love the night! Even tho UV does not always come from the sun, at least it is less at night!

The Earth’s atmosphere contains molecules, such as oxygen and ozone, that can absorb and scatter UV radiation. This absorption process reduces the amount of UV rays reaching the surface, including during the nighttime. Even during daylight hours, the intensity of UV rays varies depending on factors such as time of day, season, cloud cover, and geographical location. At night, without direct sunlight, the intensity of UV rays is significantly diminished. — Anything Everything, 2023

Clearly, I love where I don’t have to wear my sunscreen and can be fully naked without worrying too much about UV, haha. As well as the ability to do something people always do on days, but because I hate UV lights, then I just do it at night, such as running and doing some workout!

So…

Are you a night person? Or a night person?

*I gave you two choices 💙
