Taken by Me @ 2024 Yiruma World Tour Live in Jakarta

I had a wonderful experience watching Yiruma’s concert, the one and only composer who produced the masterpieces that we all know as “Rivers Flow in You” and “Kiss the Rain”. Born in South Korea as Lee Ru-ma, Yiruma is a world-renowned composer and pianist celebrated for his emotive and evocative piano compositions. His music often captures the essence of love, nostalgia, and introspection, resonating deeply with audiences around the globe. With a career spanning decades, Yiruma has amassed a devoted following and continues to enchant listeners with his enchanting melodies.

Yiruma’s music is characterized by its simplicity, yet profound emotional depth. That’s what I felt during the whole concert, especially when he explained to the audience that what he’s doing was not a concert but it is a memory trip. He wants every audience to feel all the memories in life and appreciate them based on the feelings that we get from every rhythm.

I personally have a very complicated mindset and principles about memories. I am a person who always believes that every memory, bad or good memories are parts of our life that need to be enhanced so that we know what makes us the person we are living right now.

“Momentums”

Every accomplishment begins with momentum. — Demi, 2023

I think that as a human we need to appreciate and think deeply about what we have been through in this life so that we can be the best version of ourselves in the next few days. What you feel, what you do, and what you experience is a momentum. Every achievement, every failure, and everything that happened in your life will remain a story that you can tell to people or to yourself in the present I built myself and my story is unique in its own way.

“Every accomplishment begins with momentum” If you get triggered by it, dive into it and reflect on why it will create a start where maybe it’ll be the biggest accomplishment in your life.

Lastly, he wasn’t just mentioning about memories but also mentioning about hopes. I remember when he played Autumn Finds Winter, a very obvious title.

“Everyone have one ideas from a parallel universe that they wanted to live with it” — Demi, 2024

During the concert, I unconsciously put myself in a different universe where I wish my life could be different from the one that I have today. No, it does not mean I dislike the one I have right now because I am very happy with the life I live right now. But, what I envision in the other universe started with one momentum and it changed my whole life path. I guess that’s what happened in this current life as well, I have a very big momentum and I clearly remember what it was and that’s the thing that makes my life become this way which is the most beautiful life.

What I am trying to say is that everyone has momentum and each one of us sometimes wish to have a different context of life in another universe that comes from one different momentum as well. But, it does not mean that the life you have right now is not the best one. Because, whatever the momentum that you wish to be happen in another universe, your life will always have flaws and become the most beautiful things in this world.
