Everybody lost sometimes. Not just sometimes, but everybody had at least one loss in their life. That is how our life has been beautifully prepared. Life, the path, and the future have prepared themselves; are we prepared for that?

You know when you just finished working on another milestone in your life, right? It can be school, a competition, a song, a book, and many other things. You finish it, and a conscious feeling comes after you that you need to prepare for a greater one after this.

Because you are so overwhelmed with the thoughts of creating a brand new chapter of your life, you will feel numb about some things or literally everything. You will feel like your life somehow got forced you to be mature because you have faced enough reality before. You will feel like you are not happy as you were a year or years ago.

“The ability to be fully aware and conscious about this phase is what people called growth”

For me, growth is not just about you taking steps ahead from your back and moving forward to be close to your end goals. But also to be conscious that in the process, you might feel lost sometimes and desperately think you need to get out of that feeling.

Humans are surrounded by many different emotions, and feeling lost is included in the pack of your experience in life. To get out of this zone is like playing a pinball game; you never know whether the focus and the effort you give will be scientifically proven to help you get out of it. Anyway, you just trust the gut and pull out the trigger so your ball will go to the arena.

Even when your ball has already arrived at the arena, and you are strolling around with many different obstacles and difficulties, you still can’t be so sure whether it is going to give you a big win or a big loss. But between those two end lines, there is a key realization.

If you have a big loss, you will have to get through every stage of grief and, in the end, try to look backward, reviewing what you’ve done. This is the point where you have to ensure that you are willing to take feedback from your deepest heart that something needs to be changed or improved. That is what people called it growing.

If you have a big win, you will be delightfully celebrating your accomplishment and enjoying the feeling of relief after all prejudice you made before you reached the goals. You realize that you just think too much. But actually, you are not thinking too much. That is just the way it is. You think because you care about what you will reach.

Humans are also gifted with the right portions of desire to take the next chance or take a bigger opportunity after achieving one before. Like it or not, you will have to face the same reality again, where you have to deal with uncertainty and many unplanned things that will happen.

Life is just a reputation of growing, you feel different because you tried in a different path. But again, not everybody has the courage to go out of their comfort zone of a path in playing pinball. Some people will just go in the same direction to make themselves feel safe because feeling safe is what most people aim for.

If you see yourself or someone taking a different path in the future, appreciate them because it is a coping mechanism to get out from the lost moment they are having at those time, and not everybody has the gut and ability to do that. It is something to be enhanced and developed.

But, it also does not mean that everyone who keeps themselves on the same path is wrong because they have their own battles. Back again to the pinball game, even tho you take the same path of how you triggered the start… You will never know how you will reach your end goals.

No matter what path or to which direction you go with your life when you feel lost, remember that life is about surprising yourself, and life will also surprise you with so many unexpected things, which is beautiful.

For my friends who feel like they are losing their way of life, I hope it does not take you so long to choose whether you want to go with the same path or try a new one.

Cheers to more surprises.
