Amor Matris Indonesia Receives a Prestigious Award and Grant from the Indonesia Ministry of Education!
In an inspiring recognition of dedication and impact, Amor Matris Indonesia, a non-formal school foundation, has been honored with an award from the Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Republik Indonesia (the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia). Awarded in June 2024, highlights Amor Matris Indonesia as the most progressive and best-developed non-formal school in a rural area. Alongside this recognition, we also receive a special fund of 45 million rupiah to further its mission.
Amor Matris Indonesia stands out as a beacon of hope and change in rural education. Established to provide quality education in areas often overlooked, we wanted to ensure that everyone who couldn’t afford to go to formal school or those who decided to drop out from their formal school could still get an equal degree to survive in the society we are living in. Our holistic approach to learning, community involvement, and unwavering commitment to their students’ futures have set them apart in the educational landscape.
The journey to this significant award has been of a kind experience. Amor Matris Indonesia has implemented a variety of programs tailored to the needs of society in the neighborhoods. From vocational training and life skills workshops to extracurricular activities that foster creativity and critical thinking.
One of the key metrics for the award was the tangible progress shown by the foundation. This includes measurable improvements in student literacy and numeracy rates, increased school graduates from a national assessment for non-formal degrees, and successful transitions of students to higher education or vocational paths. The impact of these achievements is not only reflected in the student’s academic success but also in their increased confidence and aspirations.
Receiving the award from the Ministry of Education and Culture is a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved with Amor Matris Indonesia. It is a recognition of the efforts to bridge the educational gap in rural areas and provide opportunities that can transform lives.
The special grant of 45 million rupiah will be instrumental in furthering the foundation’s initiatives. These funds will be allocated towards enhancing educational facilities, expanding program offerings, and providing additional resources for students and teachers. With this support, Amor Matris Indonesia is ready to make even greater accomplishments in its mission to empower rural communities through education.
Stay tuned for more updates on our journey and learn how you can be part of this incredible transformation.
