2023 is almost over?! Wow, so many mixed feelings that I have, which I can’t explain in one word. Therefore, I am writing this blog to tell you how I feel and just to let you know my updates recently in 2023.

As I reflect on the whirlwind that was 2023, it feels like flipping through the pages of an adventure novel. This year brought forth a deluge of challenges, opportunities, and an abundance of travel that made staying in one place for more than a month a rare luxury. Yet, amidst this chaos, I found moments of triumph, steadily navigating toward the life I envisioned.

So, here is my 2023 wrapped from many different points of view of learning.

Embracing Change and Challenges

This year, life seemed to throw challenges my way with relentless fervor. Every obstacle appeared to be a test of my resilience and adaptability. From career shifts to personal hurdles, it felt like a continuous game of learning to dance in the rain rather than waiting for the storm to pass.

In 2023, I experienced many different roles in jobs and many projects that were definitely out of my limit at first. Three things I can highlight:

  • Handling an organization on a country scale with more than 400+ members and all of them are Koreans. Yes, I was the President of one of the NGOs in Korea. Worked there for a year from 2022 till June 2023. wasn’t an easy journey, obviously the most challenging part in my life so far; countless moments of crying and moments of almost giving up actually told me the greatest lesson in 2023, which is “If you can be responsible towards any challenges you are currently facing, good things will come ahead.” here
  • Jumped into the finance world as Global Alignment Manager for one of the independent bodies in NGO based in Montreal, Canada. Something new, especially I have to take forward the initiative projects in the way of how technology works right now. But it has paid off! I learned how to code using Python with langchain method, and I created my first Artificial Intelligence-chatbot similar to chatgpt that aims to answer any questions related to finance used by the members of organizations across the world. here
  • Finally, I can take what I learned in the marketing area and turn it into something valuable and cool. I have been learning about the Neuromarketing strategy, which I have developed into many tools I created since 2021 till now. Then, this year, in September, I decided to monetize it by selling my work and management skills in Marketing into a market across Europe by becoming a remote-neuromarketing consultant and helping many businesses grow their marketing! here.

Celebrating Successes, Big and Small

One thing I learned was the importance of celebrating every success, regardless of its magnitude. Be it a major milestone in my career or a simple moment of personal growth, I made it a point to cherish these victories with the ones I love. After all, life’s joys are best enjoyed in the company of cherished friends and family.

The road became my home this year. Traveling from place to place, I embraced the nomadic lifestyle, finding solace in the constant change of scenery. Each new destination brought fresh perspectives, new friendships, and a deeper appreciation for the diversity this world holds.

Amidst the hustle and bustle of travel, I held on to my goals like a compass guiding me through uncharted waters. Slowly but surely, I made progress toward the life I envisioned. Small victories stacked up, paving the way for bigger achievements.

First, I bought and own a house now!!! Not a big one, but a progress to a better state of phase in life. So, Gen Z is also able to buy a house these days! Put that in mind 🫶

Second, I have dreamed big since the beginning; one of my biggest dreams since 2015 is to build a school for those who need it. Finally, in the second half of 2023. I received funding from Indonesia’s Ministry of Education with more than 300 Million Rupiah funding every year from now and the Indonesian National Library sends a lot of things from computers and hundreds of books. It is Amor Matris Indonesia! Here.

  • Won a tender from Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi with 300 Mio+ funding support/year
  • Won a tender from Perpustakaan Republik Indonesia with logistic support (Computers, Books and Bookshelf, Smart TV, and Wifi router)

Finding Balance Amidst the Chaos

Maintaining balance amidst constant movement and a flurry of challenges became my mantra. Whether it was finding moments of tranquility in a bustling city or creating a routine amidst unpredictability, finding equilibrium became a necessity.

The joy of success is amplified tenfold when shared with loved ones. Gatherings became more than just celebrations; they were reminders of the incredible support system that stood by me through thick and thin. Their encouragement fueled my journey and made every achievement more meaningful.

I had the busiest year in 2023; I traveled more than 100 times using planes, trains, cars, buses, ships, and any kind of transportation. I can’t even stay in one specific city for more than a month because I have to make a lot of trips. This is something that made me sick until I got typhoid fever last July, but also, this is something that makes me grateful about my life so far because I have had a chance to visit many places and have the best time as a real nomad in 2023.

Besides having a tight, packed, and busy schedule in 2023, I am always trying to manage my relationship with my love ones by meeting them and coming back to my home. Because, in the midst of chaos, they are the ones who help to keep me sane. ❤️

Conclusion: Navigating 2023

In the end, it is still about surprising yourself but with different stories and contexts. Every celebration of your life journey always comes from what you have been through before. Celebrate your wins not just because you see the end results but also by looking back at the things you have done in the past.

It is a journey to be mature, and it is a journey to find what makes you fulfilled; it is a journey to appreciate every small win, it is a journey to find the beauty of breakage, it is a journey to be who you wanted to be, it is a journey to be the best version of yourself, it is a journey to surprise yourself.

Cheers for more surprises in 2024! Happy New Year 🥳

Remember, “You don’t have to find out that you are dying to start living!”
